This week, the Toledo Zoo is opening its doors to goblins and ghosts and witches for some Halloween fun.  It starts this Thursday with Little Boo at the Zoo.

“The decorations not quite as scary, and there’s more activities geared more toward pre-school-aged kids. That one is a little more confined because it’s all on the historic side of the Zoo, so the little ones don’t have to go as far when they visit the different trick or treat stations as well.”

Little Boo at the Zoo is happening Thursday and Friday from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. There is an extra fee.

Then this weekend, a Halloween tradition that the Toledo Zoo has been celebrating for more than 30 years: Pumpkin Path. “I think people love it. It gives them another opportunity to put their costumes on and trick-or-treat.”  This event is for the older kids.

Pumpkin Path features bounce houses, magic shows and of course, treats. Pumpkin Path takes place Saturday and Sunday, 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. For children who can’t have candy or certain treats, the Zoo has some alternatives.

“So any of the kids out there that have food allergies to nuts, or gluten and things like that, we will have non-food treats at stations so that the kids can participate at all of the stations going on.”
