(TOLEDO) – The main library is about to undergo major changes and your input is invited.

Officials announced in March that main library would undergo its first major renovation in nearly 20 years. The library will be closed from 10 to 12 months.

The project is designed to transform key areas including the first floor, Children’s Library and entry area from the parking garage.

The library announced Monday there will be three forums held at the library’s Huntington Room. The forums will be on May 2, May 30 and June 28. They will take place from 6:00-8:00pm in the main library’s Huntington Room.

In a news release, library officials stated that “each forum will build on community discussions from preceding forums, so attending all three forums will provide you with the broadcast understanding of the renovation. However, if you are only able to attend one or two forums, your input will still make a difference!”

The discussion will include an overview of the project and key decision points, how the library will serve the community during the main library’s temporary closure and how to use the new spaces once renovation is complete.
