Toledo actor Jamie Farr returns to his home town for a stage performance in early October.
Farr will star in “Tuesdays with Morrie” which is an autobiographical story of Detroit’s Mitch Albom. The touching story reflects the relationship between Mitch and Morrie Schwartz, his former college professor.
The performance is scheduled for October 7 at 8:00pm at the Stranahan Theater. Farr told 13abc.com that he’s “thrilled to be back in my hometown and doing the wonderful play…anxious to see friends and family and the city lights across the Maumee River.”
The following day, Farr will bring “Tuesdays with Morrie” to the Niswonger Performing Arts Center of Northwest Ohio in Van Wert for a 3:00pm performance on October 8th. The two Northwest Ohio productions are among a series featuring the star of M*A*S*H around the country.
The play will be Farr’s second homecoming to Toledo within two months. He will be honored at a Toledo Mud Hens game on Friday, August 25 and his contributions to Toledo will be celebrated on Saturday, August 26 at 11:00am at Jamie Farr Park including the dedication of a new plaque.
