An event to help place foster children into permanent homes is to take place in Toledo on Friday, October 13.
“Home for Good Gala” will raise money to help children in foster care who are school-aged or older, minorities, sibling groups or have medical challenges.
“Once a year our community comes together to raise the money Adopt America needs to help our kids find families” said Adopt American President Wendy Spoerl in a media release. She added “nothing is more important than a safe loving place to grow up and we rely on the wonderful people of Toledo and Northwest Ohio to help us see that every child has a home.”
The event will take place at Parkway Place in Maumee. A reception begins at 5:300pm followed by dinner, an awards presentation and auction.
Toledo actor Jamie Farr will be honored during the dinner for his commitment to Adopt America Network with the Richard K. Ransom Award.
Tickets are $150 and can be purchased by calling 419-726-5100.
