Toledo Summer Concert Series
By Brian Trauring WTVG 13abc | TOLEDO –

It’s time to rock the house. ProMedica’s Summer Concert series kicks off Friday at Promenade Park along the Maumee River downtown.

Crystal Bowersox and Calysta Bevier are the featured artists backed by the Toledo Symphony Orchestra. Bevier will be a guest live on 13abc Action News at Noon today.

The concert begins at 7:30pm but doors open at 4:30pm and it’s a free concert. 13abc’s Tony Geftos will be the emcee for the concert. Zak Vassar, Toledo Symphony Orchestra President said “The Toledo Symphony is proud to participate in the grand reopening of Promenade Park. ProMedica has invested much in downtown Toledo recently, so it will be fun to share this special moment with the city.”

Additional concerts will be held on August 25th and September 15th and help celebrate the upcoming move of ProMedica’s headquarters to downtown Toledo.

Bowersox released a new album this summer and has appeared on American Idol. Bevier was a contestant on America’s Got Talent and has appeared on “Ellen” on 13abc.
