Toledo’s Jamie Farr withdrew from a production of “Tuesdays with Morrie” this week but has now scheduled a replacement appearance in Toledo.
The Stranahan Theater announced it worked with the star of M*A*S*H to present “An Evening with Jamie Farr” at the Stranahan on October 7th. Farr returns to his home for the second time this year. Last month, he was honored at a Toledo Mud Hens game and was presented with a new plaque at Jamie Farr Park.
The 83-year-old actor says he hated to disappoint fans by dropping out of the national tour of “Tuesdays with Morrie” but production complications involving visas convinced him not to proceed with the performance.
The “Evening with Jamie Farr” will blend personal stories, show clips and a question and answer session.
Ticket holders for “Tuesdays with Morris” may use their tickets for the production. Refunds are available for those “Tuesdays with Morris” ticket holders who do not want to attend the new event.
Tickets for “An Evening with Jamie Farr” on Saturday, October 7 at 8:00pm may be purchased from the Stranahan Theater box office at 4645 Heatherdowns.
13abc’s Lee Conklin will join Farr on stage to help facilitate the question and answer period.
