TOLEDO, Ohio (13abc Action News) – A favorite tradition to start the holiday season returns to downtown Toledo on November 11th.

The Blade Holiday Parade will celebrate 30 years on Saturday, November 11 at 10:00am.

This year’s grand marshal is Alden Hirschfeld from Sylvania. Hirschfeld is captain of the Toledo Walleye and lead a parade of more than 80 units. This year, a World War II Avenger and B-28 will fly over the parade route to salute veterans.

The parade route begins on Summit Street to Jackson Street and Huron Avenue and then end on Washington Street.

13abc will be among the parade entries again this year featuring the “Hope for the Holidays” float which supports a toy drive that benefits local children through the Salvation Army and U.S. Marine Corps Reserves.

The parade is sponsored by Taylor Family Automotive and the Distinguished Clown Corps.
