TOLEDO (WTVG) — It’s a musical story of six guys who are down on their luck and out of work, so they decide to put on a show. A show that’s strictly adults only.
“Well, there’s that part about ‘Do they or don’t they?’ So, I’ve always said that it’s not called “The Half Monty,” so there’s an indication right there,” says Director James Norman.
The show is called “The Full Monty,” based on the movie of the same name.
As that name suggests, these guys are willing to do anything for some income.
And they mean anything.
“It’s a little roll reversal,” explains Actor Lydia Schafer, “but I kind of like it that the guys are – it’s their turn and they’re working hard for the money.”
With 25 in the cast, the production is big. It’s also the first show The Valentine has produced in 10 years, complete with an all-local cast.
“It’s amazing,” continues Norman. “The auditions were great. And we just pulled together such an amazing cast of singers, actors and dancers, It’s going to be special.”
The comedy is definitely not for the kids, but for the adults, The Full Monty will be a performance to remember.
Shows are Friday, Sept. 8 & Saturday, Sept. 9 at 7:30PM; Sunday, Sept. 10 at 2:00PM.
Tickets range from $10.00-$30.00.
