TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – The Toledo Zoo is jam-packed with holiday fun, with the ice slide, visits with Santa, and, the star of the show, Christmas lights! But visitors were introduced to another kind of lights show last year. And it’s back and even better this year. The 3-D Scenes of Wonder takes you to another world, not on a screen, but on the side of a building!

Mark West, V.P. of Creative Strategies with Communica tells 13abc, “It’s really just an exciting, large-scale immersive sort of fun event that people will get to see when they come to the Lights Before Christmas this year… We feature a little girl, getting ready to go to bed on Christmas Eve, and then we sort of get into her dream world, and we follow that for a few minutes in a really exciting, compelling way.”

The designer of the show, Garrett Kimble of Communica, says he’s never worked on a project at this scale, and seeing people react to his work made him happy to be part of it all.

“We had a nice big crowd gathered, and we heard plenty of “oos” and “ahs” and that really made the whole experience worth it,” he says.

You can catch the 3-D Scenes of Wonder on the side of Carnivore Cafe at The Toledo Zoo, every night, through December 31st.
