MAUMEE (WTVG) – The non-profit group Cancer Connection of Northwest Ohio has been connecting people with a cancer diagnosis to much needed support and resources for years. This Thursday night, the group is teaming up local motorcycle club The Punishers for a special fundraiser called “Twylite Thursday Bike Night”.

Since the Punishers joined forces with Cancer Connection two years ago, they’ve been visiting terminally ill children in hospitals and schools.

“It just made sense to partner with them for that because we do so much together,” says Jean Schoen, the president and founder of Cancer Connection of Northwest Ohio. “The proceeds will benefit both of our organizations and help us to continue to help local children who have cancer.”

“We’ll be giving kids rides around the parking lot on our motorcycles and take pictures with them,” says Dan Bushey, a member of the Punishers. “I’ve got two little ones, a 2 and a 4 year old and one on the way. Anytime we get to hang out with kids, it’s great.”

Twylite Thursday Bike Night is happening at The Pinnacle in Maumee Thursday from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

You can enjoy an evening of food, drinks, entertainment and lots of bikes.
Tickets are $10. You can purchase them at the door or online at Cancer Connection of Northwest Ohio’s website. You can find a link to their website attached to this story.
