TOLEDO (WTVG) — Free food, free music, free activities.
Did we mention it’s free?
A Free Family Fun Day is happening Sunday, Jan. 21, 2018, in the Main Toledo-Lucas County Public Library at 325 N. Michigan from 1:00-4:30PM.
It’s part of the inaugural weekend for newly elected Toledo Mayor Wade Kapszukiewicz.
The event is being billed as a “full day of community, educational and artistic activities as well as live performances from local schools and arts organizations.”
According to a news release from the mayor, there will be:
– A wide variety of health screenings provided at no cost by ProMedica and other partners.
– Artist Maura Amato will make a four foot paint-by-number mural that all attendees can contribute to. It will be kept in the mayor’s office.
– Full day of performers in McMaster Center, including choirs, comedians, singers, actors and poets.
– Interactive stations with The Toledo Zoo, Children’s Theatre Workshop, The Toledo-Lucas County Public Library, The Toledo Museum of Art and more.
This comes one day after an inter-faith prayer service, Saturday, Jan. 20, 2018 at 10:00AM at the Warren AME Church, 915 Collingwood Blvd., Toledo.
