Salvation Army hosts Red Kettle Run in downtown Toledo

The Salvation Army is kicking off the red kettle season with a special run. This year, for the first time, you can run the Blade holiday parade route and end right before the festivities as a crowd cheers you on.

The Red Kettle Run will occur just prior to The Blade 30th Annual Holiday Parade. The run will follow a one-mile loop of the actual parade route.

Saturday, November 11, 2017
Race day registration will open at 7:30 am
near the start area in the Blade parking lot
The event will start at 8:30 am

5K Run- Start at Jackson and Superior, running three laps of the mile long loop. Ending near Jackson and Huron. Participants can also walk but must be able to finish the course within one hour, parade starts promptly at 10.

5K Relay– A 3 person team, with each participant running a one mile loop along the parade route. The final team member will finish the course near Jackson and Huron.

5K Run Awards
Overall Male & Female and Master’s Male & Female
Top three finishers in Male & Female Age Groups—9 & under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75 & older

 5K Relay Awards
Top three teams in the following categories: Business, Non-profit, School and Open

Shirts & Refreshments
All pre-registered participants will receive a race day shirt with a limited number of shirts available for race day entries
Refreshments will be available at the start/finish
Entry Fees
5K Run- Pre-registered online (by 10/15) $25 + service fee for online registration
Relay Team- Pre-registered online (by 10/15) $45 ($15 per team member) + service fee for online registration
5K Run– Late Registration (after 10/15) and on Race Day- $30 + service fee for online registration
Relay Team– Late Registration (after 10/15) and on Race Day- $60 ($20 per team member) + service fee for online registration
